House of Knives

Updated: May 13, 2018

House of Knives is a short film I was sound recordist on produced by charity Poet in the City to launch and promote the Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation.

Filmed in and around 8 Royal College Street in Camden, London where the French Poets Arthur Rimbaud and Paul Verlaine stayed in 1873, the film switches between a modern day reporter and flashbacks to the absinthe/knife loving poets stormy relationship.

Unfortunately I can not find the full film online - I saw it at the premier and thought it was very good and was impressed with the location sound I recorded. The foundation states that they screen the film as part of a series with a documentary about the house and the Pernod Absinthe brand.
